A new church sign for St. Chad’s was made by hand by Mike Rivera, long time church member, vestryman, and senior warden.  The Diocese of Southwest Florida provided a grant to St. Chad’s to help make this possible.  November 2009 at Thanksgiving marked the special occasion for the blessing of the beautiful, more visible sign.  The congregation participated in this special ceremony.  A time capsule is housed in the brick below the surface of the sign holding special prayers, holy oil, and signatures with explanation of the time in history when this sign was erected in the name of Jesus Christ.

The service for Roosevelt Baker will be held at Temple AME church, 2201 Lowe St. in Ybor City, this Sat. June 9th at 1:00 PM.� There is a reception after the service, and location will be announced.� Roosevlet was a long time meber of St. Chads, and will be deeply missed.
