The helpers get a smaller box of food that includes fresh fruits and vegetables.
This is being worked on.
Usually on the last Saturday of the month we distribute FREE boxes of fresh foods and canned and boxed foods to those in need. This includes single individuals and families that are on our distribution list. (Now 34) We also have up to 11 helpers that get a smaller amount of similar foods as a small reward for participating. We also provide food to those in need throughout the month upon request.
We also pick up 7 truckloads of bread and pastry products from Publix supermarket per week which is distributed to many locations.
We are also a partner with Feeding Tampa Bay. As a participating partner we are able shop at Feeding Tampa Bay and purchase products at a substantial savings for our food ministry. We often shop one or two times per week.
You can donate by sending a check directly to:

We can offer a student or group of students "Community Service Hours" in blocks of 4 hours per time. This must be approved by St. Chad's and through your institution/organization first. We can provide a certificate of "Community Service Participation" with the number of hours and a description of the tasks completed. This is often on a Saturday or Sunday.
